The Girls Education Challenge

The Girls Education Challenge is a new program at Stand Tall that aims to build support for the education of girls. The program is being implemented by PEDN, http://pedn.org/, an NGO based in Kampala that offers a variety of youth programs tailored to train school-aged girls in business, personal development, and entrepreneurial skills.

PEDN and Opportunity Bank (U) Limited are promoting the education of girls through financial education programs as well as offering access to education loans and school infrastructure development loans. These interventions are focused on lessening the impact of poverty on girls’ educational potential.
