‘Tekawo Enjawulo’ (Let’s all make this change)

Stand Tall Education in Kampala recently played a central role in a project led by Brigther Smiles Africa that is raising awareness in Uganda about the problems girls face from sexual and gender related violence. Pupils contributed their ideas for a song and music video to illustrate the issues they see as most pressing, and present approaches they believe are needed to help girls, and promote a change of heart in society. When the song was written, the school then became the location for scenes shot for the video produced by Talent Africa. Pupils at Stand Tall also became cast members in the dramatic scenes illustrated in the video and had the opportunity to work alongside the celebrity artists who recorded the video.
